Audi Revolut F1® Team endured a difficult Qualifying session at the Baku City Circuit, with Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg finishing Q1 in 17th and 18th respectively. Both drivers had their final runs compromised by yellow flags, while the team was unable to unlock the required single-lap pace in the windy conditions. 

Hulkenberg had finished FP3 in 15th before Qualifying. His first Q1 run was affected by missing the tow, while a yellow flag at Turn 15 interrupted his final attempt. With straight-line speed also proving a challenge, he was unable to improve sufficiently to progress beyond Q1. 

Bortoleto entered Qualifying after placing 13th in FP3. His opening two Q1 runs felt more promising, but he struggled to find grip on his final run before a yellow flag forced him to lift at the end of his last push lap. 

The Team will now analyse the data and continue working to understand and optimise the upgrade package. With the potential for incidents to create opportunities during the race in Baku, the focus shifts to being ready to capitalise when they arise.
