Our first rodeo.

Audi Revolut F1® Team is buckling up for its first rodeo in Texas, as the team races at Circuit of The Americas for the first time in search of valuable points.

Audi Revolut F1® Team is Texas-bound for its second of three visits stateside in its maiden Formula 1 season. Having already ventured to Miami earlier this year, and with a trip to Las Vegas yet to come next month, the 2026 United States Grand Prix brings the team to Circuit of The Americas, which promises to be a weekend full of thrills.

The United States Grand Prix follows Audi Revolut F1® Team’s highest points-scoring weekend of its maiden season so far. Nico bagged the team’s first Sprint points with a seventh place finish in a chaotic Singapore Saturday race, before equalling the team’s best Grand Prix result with an eighth place finish in Sunday’s night race. With four top eight finishes so far, it’s still all to play for in the tight Constructors’ Championship battle.

The Audi Driver Development Programme will also be in action at COTA, with Emma Felbermayr seeking more points in her F1® Academy title fight. With two rounds and five races remaining, Emma sits second in the championship, 48 points behind leader Alisha Palmowski.

Built to thrill.

Attracting around 400,000 fans annually, the United States Grand Prix weekend is one of the best-attended all season – and it’s not hard to see why COTA is such a popular racetrack. The Lone Star State joined the calendar in 2012 and the unmistakable track with its red, white and blue run-off areas is carved into the contours of the land it was built upon.

Its distinctly unusual uphill run to Turn 1, after a 250 metre dash from the line, creates one of the tightest first corners of the season. The steep climb, hard braking and over 90 degree turn means passing (and crashing) is commonplace. Drivers, especially in the tightly packed midfield, will need to have their wits about them on Sunday afternoon.

While Gabi made his Austin debut last season, Nico has six previous points finishes at COTA, including five top eight finishes. His best result here so far is sixth, which he achieved in both 2013 and 2018.

The trackst hat inspired COTA.

Few tracks have made an impact as instant as COTA. Perhaps that’s because the circuit’s design draws on tried-and-tested features from other venues around the world. When designing the track, Tavo Hellmund, Kevin Schwantz and Hermann Tilke drew inspiration from other classic F1® venues, including some of Tilke’s earlier designs, to create a layout which would please both drivers and fans.
The counter-clockwise layout features over 40 metres of elevation change and the widening of certain corners, most notably at Turns 1 and 11, was purposefully designed to promote different racing lines and increase overtaking. With its combination of fast esses and slower technical turns, COTA is a track where aerodynamic efficiency matters just as much as grip.

Turns 3 to 6

The sweeping bends of Turns 3 to 6 are directly inspired by Silverstone’s famous Maggotts-Becketts complex and the legendary esses at Suzuka. A key area to nail in qualifying, where aerodynamic efficiency is essential.

With grandstands lining the circuit in this section, the slower, technical sequence of corners from Turn 12 to Turn 15 are reminiscent of the so-called stadium section at Hockenheim.

The seemingly never-ending, multi-apex section from Turn 16 to Turn 18 is inspired by the famous Turn 8 at Istanbul Park, home of the Turkish Grand Prix, which rejoins the calendar in 2027.
