Audi Revolut F1® Team ernennt Allan McNish zum Racing Director.

McNish, eine zentrale Figur in Audis Motorsport und seit Beginn Teil des F1-Projekts, übernimmt die Koordination aller Abläufe an der Rennstrecke. Dazu zählen sportliche Themen, Engineering, Fahrermanagement, Rennstrategie, Garage sowie Medien- und Partneraktivitäten.

Ab dem Großen Preis von Miami trägt er die Gesamtverantwortung an der Strecke. Dank seiner langjährigen Einbindung verfügt er über ein tiefes Verständnis für Audi und den Spitzensport im Motorsport – ideal für diese Schlüsselphase der Teamentwicklung.

Der frühere Formel-1-Pilot bringt umfangreiche Erfahrung als Fahrer und Führungskraft mit, darunter Erfolge im Langstreckensport mit mehreren Siegen in Le Mans und einem WEC-Titel. Bei Audi hatte er bereits leitende Rollen inne, zuletzt im Fahrerentwicklungsprogramm, das er parallel weiterführt.

Er berichtet direkt an Mattia Binotto, CEO und Team Principal des Audi Revolut F1® Teams. Die Ernennung unterstreicht Audis Anspruch, eine leistungsstarke Rennorganisation in der Formel 1 aufzubauen.
