In simple terms, procurement ensures that everything needed to build our cars is delivered to the right place, at the right time and to the right quality. But procurement goes far beyond simply ordering parts - it connects suppliers, production, logistics and strategy in one fast-moving ecosystem.
How is your team structured and what does your department do?
“Our department is made up of three areas: purchasing, transport and storage. Purchasing manages our supplier relationships and the storage team handles incoming parts and inventory, while transport ensures that parts flow efficiently from suppliers to the factory and sometimes directly to the track during European races. We work with multiple suppliers, often relying on highly specialised partners where alternatives aren’t always possible.”
How does your work impact the bigger picture?“Our work directly supports the team’s performance. With the right supplier strategy and smart make-or-buy decisions, we enable the team to operate faster, more efficiently and more reliably.”
What do you enjoy most about your role?“Being part of the journey from reactive procurement to strategic excellence is something I’m very proud of. I also really enjoy working with passionate people who are all striving for the same goal: improving the car’s performance and fighting for the world championship in the years ahead.”
