Miami GP 2026: Split outcomes on Sunday.

An opening-lap incident ends Nico Hulkenberg’s race early, while Gabriel Bortoleto recovers through the field to finish just outside the points.

Structure despite setbacks

The race was defined at the start. Nico Hulkenberg was caught in an opening-lap incident and forced to retire before the field settled, leaving clear points potential unrealised.

In parallel, Gabriel’s race built over distance. Starting from the back, he progressed through the field with a structured approach and made use of the available opportunities. Long-run pace remained stable, execution consistent. The final result left him just short of the points.

Sunday closed a weekend shaped by interruptions. At the same time, the team’s response remained consistent across sessions – from the work on the cars to execution on track.

Audi Revolut F1® Team leaves Miami without a points finish, with clear direction for Montreal. Focus now shifts to the next round.

“For Nico, it was frustrating. He was squeezed into Turn 1, which meant an early front wing change, and unfortunately a subsequent technical issue forced his retirement. From his starting position, he was very much in contention for points, so that’s clearly disappointing.”
