Audi Revolut F1® Team sammelt wichtige Daten trotz Unterbrechung in FP2.

Trainingsauftakt in Suzuka

Audi Revolut F1® Team ist mit einem umfangreichen Programm in das Wochenende beim Großen Preis von Japan gestartet und positioniert sich erneut im vorderen Bereich des Mittelfelds.

In den beiden Sessions am Freitag arbeiteten Nico Hülkenberg und Gabriel Bortoleto daran, eine stabile Basis für die Anforderungen in Suzuka zu finden. Die schnellen Richtungswechsel und langgezogenen Kurven stellen hohe Ansprüche an Balance und Konstanz und prägten die Abstimmungsarbeit über den gesamten Tag.

Das zweite Training von Gabriel Bortoleto wurde durch ein technisches Problem unterbrochen. Eine vorsorgliche Getriebewechselmaßnahme kostete zusätzliche Fahrzeit, bevor er gegen Ende der Session wieder auf die Strecke zurückkehrte.

Trotz der Einschränkung konnte ein Großteil des geplanten Programms umgesetzt werden. Die gesammelten Daten fließen nun in die Analyse über Nacht ein – sowohl an der Strecke als auch am Standort.

Der Fokus richtet sich auf das Qualifying, in dem Präzision und Vertrauen in den schnellen Passagen den Ausschlag geben werden.

"A solid Friday overall."

"We had two clean sessions, completed the full programme and built a good baseline. The car feels in a decent window, so it’s a positive starting point. The midfield looks very tight - closer than in the first two races - so it should be very competitive out there. We’ll review everything overnight, and the direction is clear with a good base to build on for tomorrow.”

“It’s been a bit of a mixed Friday."

"The morning session was pretty straightforward, but we identified an issue early on in FP2 and we made the call to carry out a precautionary gearbox change as the swiftest way to get back out. That meant losing some time in the garage, but the team did an incredible job turning the car around and getting me back out for the end of the session."
