Nico und Gabri sichern sich nach einem starken Freitag die sechste Startreihe.

Starkes Tempo im Sprint-Qualifying.

Der Freitag in Montreal bot nur ein begrenztes Zeitfenster zur Vorbereitung. In der einzigen Trainingssession lag der Fokus darauf, das Set-up auf dem Circuit Gilles Villeneuve zu stabilisieren, dessen geringer Grip und wechselnde Bedingungen präzise Anpassungen erfordern. Trotz mehrerer Unterbrechungen durch rote Flaggen konnte das Team Fortschritte erzielen. Beide Rennwagen gewannen im Verlauf an Balance, was sich im anschließenden Sprint Qualifying bestätigte.

Dort bewegte sich das Feld innerhalb engster Abstände. Nico Hülkenberg und Gabriel Bortoleto verpassten den Einzug in SQ3 nur knapp und belegten die Positionen elf und zwölf. Weniger als ein Zehntel entschied über mehrere Startplätze. Die Ausgangslage für das Sprintrennen ist klar definiert. Audi Revolut F1® Team nutzt die Nacht für Analyse und Feinabstimmung, um die Position im engen Mittelfeld weiter zu schärfen.
